U.K. house prices decline for the first since 2015 this month, according to the latest report.
The 0.3% monthly fall, the first drop since June 2015, dragged the annual rate down to 3.5% from 4.5%. That’s the weakest year-on-year increase in values since August 2015. While there’s monthly volatility in price changes, the underlying trend is showing the U.K. housing market cooling. The annual increase was close to 6 percent a year ago.
EU leaders will inform Britain that any endeavour to invite companies with lighter regulation and tax policies will harm the prospects of striking a trade deal with the bloc.
The Pound fell slightly against the Dollar to 1.2451. Sterling rose against the Euro to a high of 1.1701 overnight before falling to 1.1652.
