The Pound moved between losses and gains yesterday as Theresa May triggered Article 50 starting the process by which the U.K. will leave the EU.
Sterling fell yesterday morning to a week low versus the Dollar before improving as British PM Theresa May invoked Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty. This will officially start time on two years of Brexit negotiations. After sterling’s decline of more than 16% since Britain voted to leave the EU last summer, room for additional declines is limited until there is more transparency on how Brexit negotiations will pan out.
The Pound fell slightly overnight to 1.2401 against the Dollar. Sterling rose against the Euro to 1.1560.
