The Dollar slipped to its lowest level since December and U.S. equity futures quickened Friday’s slump as investors avoided risk assets amongst heightened uncertainty of U.S. President Donald Trump’s capability to enforce his economic agenda.
U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May will pursue to head off moves for Scottish independence in a speech today as she concludes her plans for triggering two years of negotiations to exit the EU.
May will propose to Scottish voters to keep the U.K. intact. She’ll start the Brexit process on Wednesday in a letter to the bloc and on Thursday lay out proposals to bring thousands of EU regulations under U.K. control.
The Pound rose against the Dollar to 1.2561. Sterling was little changed against the Euro to 1.1559.
