The Pound advanced for the first time since Friday versus the Dollar as U.K services grew faster than economists had forecasted last month.
Sterling also rose for the first time this week against the Euro after Economic data displayed that Services PMI advanced to 55 from 53.3 in February which is above the key 50 level that separates expansion from contraction and beat analysts forecasts 53.4.
The U.K. currency set its first quarterly gain against the Dollar in two years in the first three months of this year, supported by strong economic data in the U.K. which were more resilient than originally thought after Britain’s vote last year to part from the EU.
The Pound rose 0.3% against the Dollar to 1.2475, after declining 0.9% in the previous two days. Sterling advanced against the Euro to 1.1733.
