The Pound advanced against most major currencies yesterday, ending a three-day decline against the Euro at the start of another week likely to be controlled by questions about how Britain will leave the EU and the effect of Brexit on the economy.
The House of Lords has begun discussing the bill which will lead the way for the formal start of talks on how Britain will leave the EU.
U.K. manufacturers saw orders grow at the quickest pace in two years, but the pounds’ decline is forcing them bump up their prices sharply and is not having any obvious benefit for exporters.
The Pound was enjoying its best day since early February, up 0.5% versus the dollar at 1.2472 and 0.3% higher against the Euro to 1.1743. This morning the Sterling has continued to progress against the Euro reaching 1.1781 but has fallen against the Dollar to 1.2418.
