Pound Recovers From Two Week Low
Sterling fell to a 13 day low as the currency developed as one of the main sufferers of a dollar rally on yesterday.
The Pound fell as hidden worry about the nature of the U.K’s exit from the EU made it one of investors’ main targets during the dollar’s gain, leaving it the second-worst performer among Group-of-10 currencies. Data that showed retail sales surprisingly declined last month magnified the move.
U.K. PM Theresa May held her plan to trigger Brexit on track after beating a rebellion from some of her own Conservative Party colleagues by ensuring them a vote on the final deal with the EU.
Sterling fell 0.9% yesterday to 1.2354 against the Dollar as of 9:26 a.m. The Pound recovered this morning reaching levels of 1.2502 against the Dollar and 1.1742 against the Euro.
