Sterling declined this morning after UK Inflation held at 2.6%. Economists had forecasted a 0.1% rise to 2.7%.
This puts an interest rate rise further away as the Pound falls 0.8% to 1.2872 against the Dollar and near a 7 year low against the Euro at 1.0962.
US retail sales jumped by 0.6% in July beating the expectations of a 0.4% rise. The Pound fell further after this data to 1.2851.
The Pound is currently trading at 1.2852 & 1.0975 against the Euro and the Dollar.
