The Pound put a stop to its steepest decline in more than six years before data that economists forecast will confirm the U.K. economy rose at the end of last year.
Sterling gained against the Dollar yesterday after dropping 3.3% in the previous three days, the biggest drop since June 2009. Gross domestic product increased 0.5% in the fourth quarter, from 0.4% in the three months through September.
The pound gained 0.2% to 1.3948 against the Dollar as of 8:50 a.m. It dropped to 1.3879 on Wednesday, the lowest since March 2009. Sterling was little changed at 1.2645 against the Euro.
