Development in Prime Minister David Cameron’s talks with EU leaders proposes that a deal on the U.K. government’s reform demands is viable at this month’s summit in Brussels on Feb. 18 and 19, raising the chance of a referendum on Britain’s membership in the union before the end of June.
While the Pound is weaker and trading at a six-year low last month, unpredictability surrounding an in-out referendum and the hazard of the U.K. exiting the EU isn’t fully priced in.
The Pound rose against the Euro this morning to 1.2872 after falling to 1.2713 yesterday evening. The Pound rose to 1.4521 against the Dollar.
