Sterling hit the highest level since post Brexit, yet some analysts are not too happy over its prospects.
As recent Brexit talks has been constructive. Experts at JP Morgan cannot see sterling maintaining its strength as weak economic data and that Brexit talks could collapse. It could see the pound fall to as low as $1.30 by March 2018, compared to the predicted 1.33.
The U.K. economy has been left behind as the rest of the world powers ahead.
Sterling has been held up by the Bank of England’s tightening policy, and it is likely that we could see two more interest-rate hikes this year.
Sterling slipped slightly 1.375 against the dollar, after touching 1.38. the pound remained unchanged against the Euro at 1.124.
