The UK economy grew by 0.3% in the second quarter of this year, in line with the continued forecasts, as a fall in the pound and a rise in inflation continued to weigh on growth.
According to the ONS, the growth was main due to the services figures, which rose by 0.5% in comparison with a 0.1% rise earlier on in the year.
The most negative sectors were construction and manufacturing after having two consecutive quarters of growth.
The data as a whole had a slight improvement, growing by 0.3% in comparison with the 0.2% which economists had forecasted.
Sterling remains 10% lower versus the Dollar compared to this time last year. However, the outlook is looking promising due to Sterling breaking the 1.30 in the past few weeks.
Sterling fell slightly over night to 1.3010 against the Dollar. The Pound was little changed versus the Euro at 1.118.
