The Pound fell to its lowest level against the Euro since November 2014 following a report which showed manufacturing output held near the lowest level since 2013.
Sterling weakened for a third day against the Dollar. Data on Thursday showed the current-account deficit expanded to the biggest % of gross-domestic product on record. The Pound fell even as a separate report showed the U.K. economy grew at a faster pace than previously forecasted at the end of 2015.
The Pound just completed its worst quarter against the Euro since 2008 amongst concern Britain will vote to leave the EU in this summer’s referendum.
The pound fell 1% to 1.2487 against the Euro as of 4:14 p.m. on Friday, having touched 1.2467, the weakest level since Nov. 20, 2014. Sterling fell 1.2 percent to 1.4183 against the Dollar.
